Changes in the society
Changes in society’s perception of forests and forest use, climate risks, and modern technologies result in challenges for forest enterprises as well as wood industry. The Division supports private and public enterprises to ensure the long-term competitiveness of the forestry and wood industry sector. CBSI provides a broad experience in forest inventory, management planning and value assessment of forests. We support the development of economically viable sustainable forest management. Furthermore, specific ecological planning and mapping has always been a substantial part of our consultancy work. Surviving in the timber market calls for strategic organizational positioning and an in- depth understanding of market dynamics and their interactions. In the Division, we assess the competitiveness of wood sector enterprises and develop custom approaches for the efficient use of biomass for energy and other bio-products.
